A Sand Creek, Mich., woman died Tuesday in Toledo Hospital, four days after she was hurt when the pickup she was driving was hit broadside by another pickup on M-52 near Carleton Road in Lenawee County, authorities said.

Ladonna Strech, 53, initially was taken to Bixby Medical Center, Adrian, and later flown to Toledo Hospital.

Ms. Strech's pickup crossed the center line on M-52 about 4:40 p.m. Feb. 6 and was hit by the pickup driven by Deborah Kreighbum, 52, of Jasper, Mich., who was treated at Bixby, authorities said.

Sheriff's deputies said freezing rain changed to heavy snow just before the crash, but they were unsure whether road conditions were a factor in the accident.
