PAYNE, Ohio - A Grover Hill, Ohio, woman was killed and two people were hurt when two cars collided Tuesday at State Rts. 613 and 500 near this Paulding County community and the Ohio-Indiana line, authorities said.

Donna Phillips, 44, the driver of one of the cars, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the county Sheriff's Office.

Thomas Phillips, Jr., 41, of Paulding, Ohio, her brother who was her passenger, and Sarah Lewis, of Payne, Ohio, the driver of the other car, whose age was not released, were treated at Paulding County Hospital, sheriff's deputies said.

The crash occurred about 3:45 p.m. in Harrison Township.

Ms. Phillips failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of the two state routes and drove the car into the path of the Lewis car, which struck it broadside, sheriff's deputies said.

Ms. Lewis was wearing a seat belt. Ms. Phillips and Mr. Phillips were not, deputies said.
