A tractor-trailer rig crashed on a snow-slickened I- 75 viaduct near downtown early Friday, closing the Collingwood Boulevard exit ramp and limiting the northbound traffic on the freeway to two left lanes, Toledo police said.

The driver of the truck, whose name was not released, was not seriously hurt, officers said.

The accident occurred about 4 a.m. when the semi, which was northbound on the freeway, hit the guardrail off the right side of the road. It came to rest with the cabin partially lodged over the guardrail near the downtown exit ramp.

As of 6 a.m., the exit ramp remained closed and the northbound traffic on the viaduct remained limited to two left lanes, police said. The viaduct passes over Erie Street, Collingwood Boulevard, and the Anthony Wayne Trail.
