MONTPELIER, Ohio - A 19-year-old Montpelier man died in a Toledo trauma center early Sunday after a one-car crash in Williams County on Saturday night, authorities said.

Joshua L. Stuckey was pronounced dead at 5:38 a.m. in the University of Toledo Medical Center, formerly Medical College of Ohio Hospital, where he had been flown after the 10:24 p.m. crash, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol's Defiance post.

Mr. Stuckey was driving north on State Rt. 576 in Superior Township, just south of Montpelier, when his car went off the east side of the road and struck an embankment, a patrol report said. The car continued up the embankment and struck a power pole before coming to rest.

He wore a seat belt and neither alcohol nor speed are thought to be factors in the crash, the patrol said.
