PORT CLINTON - Three people were hurt yesterday in a three-vehicle crash at State and Lightner roads east of Port Clinton in Ottawa County's Portage Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

A pickup driven by Adam Noblitt, 35, of Marblehead, Ohio, was southbound on Lightner about 10:50 a.m., but did not yield at the stop sign at State, the patrol said. His truck was struck by a pickup driven by Veronica Cochenour, 49, of Marblehead, which was eastbound on State, troopers at the patrol's Sandusky post said.

Mr. Noblitt was thrown from his truck as it left the roadway. The impact caused Ms. Cochenour's truck to rotate and strike a station wagon at the stop sign on northbound Lightner, troopers said.

Mr. Noblitt was flown by helicopter to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former the Medical College of Ohio Hospital. A medical center spokesman said he couldn't disclose information about a patient by that name.

Ms. Cochenour and the third driver, Raymond Chiara, 74, of Marblehead, were taken to Magruder Hospital. Their conditions were not available last night.

No citations were issued, troopers said.
