Findlay-Hancock agency hires firm to seek execs

FINDLAY The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation has hired an executive search firm to recruit candidates for president and chief executive officer of the foundation.

Barbara Deerhake, who has led the agency since its inception in 1992, plans to retire by the end of the year.

Waverly Partners LLC has been retained to recruit candidates for the job. G. Norman Nicholson, chairman of a five-person search committee appointed by the foundation s board, said it is looking for executives with backgrounds in foundation management, nonprofit leadership, or private sector experience.

The foundation oversees more than $75 million in assets. Its mission is to provide financial support to community and charitable organizations to help improve Hancock County.
