Oregon woman injured after train clips car

An Oregon woman escaped serious injury early Wednesday when the car she was driving was struck by a train as she tried to beat it to a gates-equipped CSX railroad crossing in East Toledo, Toledo police said.

Michelle Donbrosky, of 1849 Boxelder Rd., was treated at St. Charles Mercy Hospital for a minor leg injury, officers said.

Ms. Donbrosky was driving a Dodge Neon west in the 2500 block of Consaul Street about 2 a.m. when she tried to beat the train at the CSX railroad crossing. She drove the car around a lowered railroad gate, at which time the vehicle was clipped on the passenger side by the train s engine, police said.

Ms. Donbrosky was issued a traffic citation, officers said.
