3 still hospitalized after Harding Twp. crash

Three of the four men hurt Friday in a car-minivan crash at Shaffer Road and Fulton Lucas Road remained hospitalized Saturday, authorities said.

Jose Gonzalez, 31, of Delta, Ohio, the driver of the minivan, was in fair condition at Toledo Hospital, a nursing supervisor said.

Jose Gutirrez-Valadez, a passenger in the minivan, was listed in good condition at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where no condition was available about Riccardo Flores, also a passenger in the minivan, a hospital spokesman said. The men s ages and addresses were not available.

The accident occurred about 6 p.m. in Lucas County s Harding Township, troopers at the Ohio Highway Patrol s Toledo post said.

Mr. Gonzalez was driving west on Shaffer about 6 p.m. when he failed to stop for a stop sign at Fulton Lucas and drove into the path of a car driven by Timothy Stelzer, 56, of Swanton, who was northbound on Fulton Lucas, the troopers said.

Mr. Stelzer, was treated at St. Luke s Hospital, a hospital spokesman said.
