Blood donors get chance to win a Harley-Davidson

7/5/2008

In order to increase awareness about the need for blood and platelet donors, the American Red Cross is holding a sweepstakes with a prize of a 105th Anniversary Edition Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom.

Through Sept. 28, blood donors at participating Red Cross Blood Drives can be entered to win the motorcycle, donated by Napoleon Harley-Davidson.

One-hundred-five finalists will be randomly selected and invited to Napoleon Harley-Davidson for a sweepstakes drawing Oct. 4.

Cumulus Toledo will hold 10 radio broadcasts at local blood drives during the summer. The sweepstakes is open to anyone who lives in the region and is at least 18.

The Out for Blood campaign comes from the American Red Cross, Napoleon Harley-Davidson, R/P Marketing Public Relations, and Cumulus Toledo.

Blood donors must be 17 or older, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good physical health. A photo ID is required.
