PANDORA, Ohio - A Fostoria man was hurt when his motorcycle struck a trailer being towed into a driveway yesterday afternoon in rural southern Putnam County, Sheriff James Beutler said.

Gregory Bohanon, 52, was listed in serious condition last night in St. Rita's Mercy Medical Center, Lima, Ohio, where he was taken by medical helicopter after the 4:15 p.m. crash on County Road R between County Roads 3 and 4 in Riley Township.

Mr. Bohanon and a pickup driven by Steven Amstutz, 51, were both headed east on Road R when Mr. Amstutz slowed to turn left into his driveway, Sheriff Beutler said.

Mr. Bohanon was unable to stop in time, his motorcycle's brakes locked, and he skidded into the trailer that Mr. Amstutz was towing, the sheriff said.

Mr. Bohanon was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered multiple injuries, including head injuries. He was not wearing a helmet, the sheriff said.
