Boy, 2, hurt when run over by vehicle

A 2-year-old boy was hurt Thursday afternoon when he was run over by a vehicle backing out of an apartment parking lot in South Toledo, police said.

The toddler, whose name has not been released, was taken to Toledo Hospital. First responders on the scene said the boy s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

The accident occurred about 2:10 p.m. in the 1100 block of Pinebrook Pkwy., near the Swan Creek Preserve Metropark, police said.
