An Aurora, Ill., man died in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center Friday, one day after he was found injured on the Wabash Cannonball Bike Trail in the Oak Openings Preserve, authorities said.

Paul Sorenson, 57, an engineer with Owens-Illinois, was found by a passer-by lying on the trail with his feet tangled in his bike about 8:45 a.m. Thursday, said Steve Kahle, an investigator with the Lucas County Coroner's Office.

He said Mr. Sorenson had suffered traumatic injuries.

An autopsy is scheduled today.
