Teen bicyclist hurt in Williams County crash

BRYAN A 14-year-old boy was hurt seriously Sunday afternoon when his bicycle and a van collided on State Rt. 2 in Williams Center in Williams County s southeastern Center Township, authorities said.

Keegan Mock, of Bryan, the bicyclist, was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, according to the Williams County Sheriff s Office. He was listed in serious condition Monday morning, a hospital spokesman said.

The boy was southbound on Route 2 near Williams County Road 10-A about 3:25 p.m. when he swerved into the path of a van driven by Sue Taylor, 57, of Hicksville, Ohio, sheriff s deputies said. They did not say what direction the van was travelling.

Ms. Taylor was cited for driving with an expired vehicle registration, deputies said.

Bryan is about 60 miles west of Toledo. Williams Center is a fifth-of-a-mile southwest of the center of Bryan.
