Wood Lane employee becomes superintendent

BOWLING GREEN A longtime employee of Wood Lane has been named its new superintendent.

Melanie Stretchbery was hired by the Wood County Board of Mental Retardation/Developmental Disabilities to succeed Superintendent Bill Clifford, who retired June 30.

Ms. Stretchbery, a graduate of Bowling Green State University, has been employed by Wood Lane since 1983. She has worked as support services supervisor, director of case management, and, for the last 10 years, as director of adult services.

The MRDD board has not yet established salary and benefits for Ms. Stretchbery, but will do so soon.
