5 injured in crash of car, SUV in Wood County

BOWLING GREEN - Five people were hurt yesterday when a car and sport utility vehicle collided after the car failed to yield on Bishop Road at State Rt. 64/Haskins Road in Wood County's Plain Township northwest of here, authorities said.

All injuries were described as not life-threatening by Wood County sheriff's deputies, but none of the hospitals released information on their conditions.

Two passengers in the vehicles, Marcia Rosebrock, 20, of Hicksville, Ohio, and Katelyn McKee, whose age and address were unavailable, were flown to University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital.

Information about which passengers were in which vehicles was not immediately available.

The driver of the car, Allyson Macke, 20, whose address was not available, and another passenger, Michelle Brillon, 20, of Lorain, Ohio, were taken to Wood County Hospital, deputies said. The driver of the SUV, Heidi Thomas, 36, whose address also was not available, was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, deputies said.

Ms. Macke was driving west on Bishop about 3:30 p.m. when she failed to yield to the SUV driven southbound on Route 64. Bishop is marked with stop signs at the intersection. Drivers on Route 64 have the right of way, deputies said.
