SANDUSKY - A farm tractor and a Perkins Local school bus carrying three children collided yesterday as the tractor tried to make a U-turn as the bus passed on Taylor Road in Erie County's Oxford Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

The bus, driven by Eugene F. Fitzhum, 54, of Perkins Township, was westbound on Taylor about 3:30 p.m. when it was struck on the passenger side by the southbound tractor driven by Paul R. Berger, 68, of Perkins Township, troopers at the patrol's Sandusky post said.

The bus was not releasing children at the time and no one was hurt, troopers said. Damage to the bus was minor.
