Motorcyclist killed in West Toledo crash
10/11/2008A motorcyclist was killed in a crash early Saturday morning on West Laskey Road, just east of Douglas Road in West Toledo.
Christopher Perry, 26, of Douglas Square Apartments in the 4800 block of Douglas Road near Laskey Road, was pronounced dead at 2:45 a.m. at the scene of the crash, said Steve Kahle, an investigator for the Lucas County Coroner s Office.
Toledo police said Mr. Perry was westbound on West Laskey when he struck the rear of a sport-utility vehicle driven on West Laskey by 19-year-old Amanda Averesch of Walbridge at 2:42 a.m.
Mr. Perry was thrown from his bike and landed in the eastbound lane of West Laskey where he was hit by another vehicle that fled the scene, police said.
