Motorcyclist killed on Sandusky Bay Bridge

BAY VIEW, Ohio A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Saturday afternoon at the west end of Sandusky Bay Bridge, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Alfred L. Smith, 58, of Sandusky, was pronounced at the scene, said troopers at the patrol s Sandusky post.

The crash occurred about 2 p.m. in Ottawa County s Danbury Township.

Mr. Smith was westbound on an exit ramp from State Rt. 2 to State Rt. 269 when he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a guardrail, troopers said.

Bay View is about 50 miles east of Toledo.
