Man hurt in Putnam County crash

LIMA, Ohio A 55-year-old man was hurt in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday night on State Rt. 115 in Putnam County, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Michael Litten, of Columbus Grove, Ohio, is in serious condition in St. Rita s Medical Center, troopers at the patrol s Lima post.

Mr. Litten was northbound on State Rt. 115 about 9:40 p.m. when he attempted to turn right onto County Road U-13.

Mr. Litten then abruptly re-entered the highway, was struck by a tractor trailer, which had driven left of center to pass Mr. Litten s vehicle.

The truck pushed the vehicle off the left side of the road, pinning it up against a tree, troopers said.

The truck driver, Robert Stoker, 54, of Jackson, Mich., was not hurt. He was cited for passing in a no passing zone, troopers said.
