Driver, teen die after rollover crash on I-75

A North Toledo man and a teenager died Wednesday afternoon after their sport utility vehicle went off I-75 and rolled down an embankment, authorities said.

The SUV was northbound on I-75 south of Ottawa River Road about 1:20 p.m. when the vehicle struck a guardrail, went over it, and overturned.

Leonel Ramos, 20, of 1122 East Central Ave., was ejected from the vehicle. His body was found almost an hour after the accident, concealed in high grass and cattails, authorities said..

Mr. Ramos was pronounced dead at the scene, said Steve Kahle, a Lucas County coroner's investigator.

Jose Renteria, 13, also of the East Central address, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he died at 2:15 p.m.

Authorities did not know whether the men were related
