A Toledo woman was killed and her three passengers, including two children, were injured when a pickup truck and a sport utility vehicle crashed Thursday night at a major intersection in West Toledo, authorities said.

Shannon Barto, 35, of 4102 Regis Drive, the driver of the pickup truck, was pronounced dead at the scene of the evening crash that occurred on West Alexis Road at Talmadge Road, Toledo police said. The intersection was closed for several hours after the crash.

The victim's daughter, Sabreena Barto, 14, along with Eric Madden, Sr., 38, of 1022 Salem St., and Eric Madden, Jr., 6, of 1374 Opal St., were taken to Toledo Hospital with unknown injuries, police said. The Maddens were listed in critical condition Friday morning, and the hospital had no information on the Barto youth.

Adam Rodriguez, 43, of 5714 Woods Ave., the SUV driver who was riding alone, was not hurt in the crash, officers said.

The SUV was eastbound on West Alexis, crossing Talmadge on a green light, and the Barto pickup was turning left from westbound West Alexis onto southbound Talmadge about 9:05 p.m. when the two vehicles collided, according to the police report.

The SUV t-boned the pickup causing the truck to flip on its side. The SUV had the right of way, the report said.
