SE Michigan: Hullibarger carries Bedford past Airport
8/28/2010TEMPERANCE - Bedford's Lee Hullibarger rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries as Bedford cruised to a 49-28 victory over Airport on Friday.
Hullibargar scored on runs of 38 and 1 yards.
Bedford piled up 262 yards rushing as a team. Mules quarterback Jared Kujawa completed 3-of-4 passes for 64 yards and a touchdown in the win. Kujawa also rushed for two touchdowns.
Thomas Ferry caught Kujawa's touchdown pass and added a 91-yard kickoff return. Erik Jones opened the scoring for Bedford with a 16-yard touchdown run.
Blissfield 22, Sand Creek 6
BLISSFIELD, Mich - Dalton Goetz rushed for a game-high 198 yards and two touchdowns, part of a 362 yard rushing effort by Blissfield.
Sand Creek took an early 6-0 lead when Blaek Reinke scooped up a blocked punt and race 33 yards for the opening score.
Goetz scored on a nine-yard run and followed with a two point conversion to give Blissfield the lea.
Goetz would add a six- yard touchdown run.
Blissfield quarterback Eric Schmidt added 76 yards rushing and threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Josh Knorr.
Blissfield held Sand Creek to 146 yards of offense including just 30 on the ground, and picked off three passes.
