SLL: Myer's TD lifts Clyde past Eastwood 21-17

CLYDE - Ryan Myer's eight-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter gave Clyde a lead it would not surrender in a 21-17 win Friday night over Eastwood.

Kalob Andrews and Jordon Colson also scored rushing touchdowns for the Fliers - on 13 and 7 yards, respectively.

Marquise Pitts led Eastwood with 146 yards on nine carries. He scored on a 68-yard TD to put the Eagles ahead 17-14 in the third quarter.

Pernell Conor scored on a two-yard touchdown run for Eastwood, and Taylor Depew kicked a 22-yard field goal. The Eagles totaled 220 yards on 35 rushing attempts. Quarterback Matt Klink was 4-of-6 passing for 150 yards.

Lake 20, Swanton 6

SWANTON - Nathan Pennington completed 7-of-11 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns while running for a third score to spark the Flyers.

Pennington entered the game in the second quarter and immediately led Lake on a scoring drive that culminated with a 15-yard scoring strike to Josh Tantari.

In the third quarter, Pennington completing a 44-yard TD toss to Dylan Hirzel. Later in that period a 34-yard interception return by Kurt McKee gave Lake the ball on the Bulldogs' 3-yard line, and Pennington ran the ball into the end zone on the next play.

Swanton's lone score came in the final quarter when Casey McCaw caught a 24-yard touchdown pass from Travis Hilton. Tom Leahey had 93 yards rushing on 21 carries for the Bulldogs.

Evergreen 27, Otsego 20

TONTOGANY - The Knights turned the ball over four times, while the Vikings won by not committing a turnover.

Evergreen's Derek Truckor scored twice on runs of 24 and 17 yards, while Dan Hilton added a 12-run scoring jaunt in the third quarter.

The Vikings' other points came on an 18-yard TD toss from Lucas Pennington to T.J. Thieken.

Otsego's Ian Fleetwood returned a kickoff 90 yards and caught a 56-yard scoring strike from Ryan Smoyer.

Smoyer also completed a 26-yard touchdown pass to Travis Podolak.

The Knights' Sam Forshey led all rushers with 106 yards on 14 carries.

Hopewell-Loudon 35, Elmwood 21

BASCOM -Cody Ickes scored three touchdowns and Tyler Tyree scored twice to lead the Chieftans. Tyree gained 116 yards in 18 carries and Ickes had 39 yards in eight carries. Hopewell-Loudon had 354 total yards, 172 rushing and 182 passing.

Nate Wacek scored twice for Elmwood and had 20 carries for 98 yards. Jack Waldock had 27 carries for 89 yards and T.J. Waldock had 180 yards receiving, including a 59-yard scoring pass. Elmwood had 384 yards - 192 rushing and 192 passing.

Port Clinton 26, Woodmore 14

PORT CLINTON - Port Clinton's Derek Colston threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another.

Colston connected with Steve Wingo to open the scoring on a four-yard pass midway through the first quarter. In the third, he found Josh Graves from 29 yards out to make it 20-6 with 6:29 to play in the third. Graves finished with four receptions for 85 yards.

Wingo also scored on an 85-yard run and Colston capped the scoring with a 83 run.

Woodmore's Pierce Fonseca scored on a two-yard run and John Sandwisch tallied on a five-yard run.
