NLL: Lake knocks off Rossford; Generals roll past Knights
9/11/2010Carl Brown rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown, Tim Lohmann added 80 yards and two scores as Lake rolled past Rossford 43-19 Friday night.
Nathan Pennington completed 9 of 14 passes for 172 yards and three touchdowns for the Flyers (2-1).
Pennington hit Ryan Kohlhofer for a 21-yard TD strike. After the Lake defense pinned Rossford inside its own 10, Lohmann blocked a punt, scooped it up and returned it five yards for a TD. Pennington later connected with Kurt McKee for a 21-yard TD pass.
Lake scored in the fourth on TDs from Lohmann and McKee. Recknagle finished with 70 yards on 18 carries.
D.J. Recknagle scored on three-yard run for Rossford (0-3) and a seven-yard TD pass from Devin Fryman. Andrew McFarland caught a 50-yard TD pass from Fryman, who finished 16 of 22 for 252 yards.
Anthony Wayne 35, Otsego 21
TONTOGANY - Hunter Lonseth rushed for 155 yards in 15 carries and two touchdowns for Anthony Wayne.
Zach Grohowski scored on a 17-yard run and a 38-yard pass from Josh Lindke, while Dylon Buchs scored on a 25-yard pass from Lindke.
Ian Fleetwood caught a 56-yard TD pass and 4-yard TD pass from Ryan Smoyer.
Fleetwood also tallied on a 15-yard run.
