SLL: Scott's 5 TDs lead Oak Harbor over Eastwood

OAK HARBOR - Jake Scott rushed for 223 yards on 36 carries and scored five touchdowns as Oak Harbor defeated Eastwood 34-7 Friday night.

Scott carried the ball 36 times for 223 yards.

The Rockets actually trailed 7-0 early in the second quarter as Marquise Pitts rambled 64 yards with 8:44 left to put Eastwood in the lead.

Scott went eight yards for his first score with 2:51 in the half, then put the Rockets ahead for good on a 29-yard run with just 1:07 left.

The second half was all Scott with touchdown runs of 7, 15 and 10 yards.

Brian Mallernee was 7 of 12 passing for 100 yards for the Rockets (2-1).

Oak Harbor rolled up 17 rushing first downs and 4 by pass for a total of 357 yards. Eastwood (1-2) had just four first downs rushing and two passing for a total of 183 yards.

Woodmore 35, Tiffin Calvert 28

TIFFIN - Woodmore rolled up 406 total yards total offense.

Wildcat quarterback Jon Sandwisch was 9 for 19 for 114 yards and one TD - a five yard pass to Cody Lockhart. Sandwisch also scored on a three-yard run.

Running back Jake Zollinger had 17 carries for 156 yards and one TD.

Pierce Fonseca had TD runs of 1 and 4 yards.

Calvert quarterback Nathan Ritzler was 17 for 36 for 251 yards through the air and threw a 10-yard TD pass to Brandon Ritzler.

Nathan Ritzler ran for two touchdowns.
