City: Rogers powers past Bowsher

Rogers scored on its first four possessions to build an insurmountable lead en route to a home victory.

The Rams (4-3, 3-1 City Legaue) ended up in the end zone on six of their first seven possessions.

DerJuan Gambrell scored the first two TDs, a 14-yard run and a 38-yard pass from Marquise Snider. Damond Powell tallied the final three scores on a six-yard run, a 50-yard pass from Snider and a 10-yard pass from Snider.

Snider was 7-of-12 passing for 138 yards, Gambrell had eight carries for 90 yards, and Powell hauled in four catches for 79 yards.

Dijon Tucker scored on a one-yard run to get Bowsher (3-5, 3-2) on the board in the second quarter and also completed a 52-yard pass to Alan Cook in the fourth quarter.

Brogan Roback threw four touchdown passes as St. John's rolled at Bowsher.

Roback was 12 for 22 passing for 252 yards. His touchdowns were distributed to Cheatham Norrils (68 and 43 yards), Tim Schaefer (7 yards) and Trent Brodbeck (3 yards).

Nate White added a seven-yard TD as part of his 13 carry, 123-yard performance for the Titans (7-1, 3-1). Norrils totaled 224 yards on nine catches.

SJ's Brandon Smith made field goals of 32 and 42 yards.

For Clay (3-5, 1-3) Austin Achter rushed for 71 yards and completed 6 of 12 passes for 79 yards. He threw one interception, and a touchdown of 12 yards to Nick Roman.

Scott won its first game of the season over winless Woodward in a game played at Waite.

Domonique Chambliss scored on runs of 10 and 16 yards and passed to E.J. Irby for 50 yards and Kriss Bickney for 30 yards for two other Bulldog touchdowns. Colima Feemster rushed for the other Bulldog TD.

For Woodward, Shawn Scott scored on a 40-yard pass from Jeffrey Wright, and Trequan Gibson and Mordecai rushed for scores of 30 and four yards, respectively.

Trailing 14-13 in the second quarter, St. Francis took the lead on Justin Chandler's six-yard run and never relinquished its advantage as the home team at Start.

Jake Wawrzyniak led the Knights (3-5, 1-3) with 82 rushing yards on 26 carries with a six-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. St. Francis added a safety and a 37-yard interception return for a TD from Danny Yodzis in the final stanza to seal the victory.

Chris Jones hauled in TD passes of 20 and 35 yards from Josh Winzeler for Start (1-7, 1-4).
