NLL: Panthers' Schneider throws 4 TD passes

Jake Schneider threw for four touchdowns and ran for another as Maumee (6-2, 4-1 Northern Lakes League) rolled at home.

Schneider completed 17 of 23 passes for 208 yards. He also ran for 104 yards on 15 carries with an 11-yard TD scamper. Jordan Lane hauled in six catches for a team-high 62 yards, including a 10-yard score.

Also making TD catches were Matt Williams, Brandon Phenix and Corbin Frankhouse.

Maumee totaled 436 yards while holding Bowling Green (2-6, 1-4) to just 107 yards of offense.

Springfield scored the first points on a safety when Perrysburg was penalized into its own end zone in the second quarter, but the Yellow Jackets (6-2, 3-2) overcame that adversity by scoring all of the points the rest of the game at Springfield.

Micah Carter scored on runs of 6 and 2 yards for Perrysburg, while Matt Slocum connected to brother Steve Slocum for a 30-yard touchdown.

Perrysburg had 244 yards rushing and 80 passing for 324 yards. Carter carried 17 times for 106 yards; Alex Johnson had 15 carries for 59 yards. Matt Slocum hit 8 for 13 passing for 80 yards and a touchdown.

Derick Miletti had 52 yards in 11 carries, Leroy Alexander had 47 in 7 carries for Springfield (4-4, 3-2).

Anthony Wayne jumped ahead 28-0 before Northview (3-5, 1-4) scored on Josh Davis' 65-yard kickoff return in the second quarter.

Matt Green led the Generals (5-3, 3-2) with 163 rushing yards on 16 carries with TD runs of 33, 6 and 24. He also caught a 57-yard pass from Josh Lindke for the game's first score.

Zach Grohowski added 117 yards on 11 carries with TD runs of 1 and 6 yards for Anthony Wayne. Lindke was 2-of-3 passing for 90 yards and also scored on a one-yard run.

Ja'darian Bowers scored on a 65-yard run and a 74-yard punt return in the second quarter to put visiting Southview ahead 21-6 at halftime.

Bowers carried seven times for 84 yards.

Denard Pinckney totaled 101 yards for the Cougars (8-0, 5-0) and scored a rushing touchdown of 13 yards. He was 4 for 5 passing for 65 yards, including a 29-yard scoring hook-up with Konnor Chuba. Nick Jozsa (64 yards) scored a rushing touchdown of two yards.

Rossford (0-8, 0-5) scored on a 9-yard pass from DJ Recknagel to Jonathan Stockhard and on a 3-yard Recknagel run.
