TAAC: Quick start pushes Green Bears to victory

Ottawa Hills exploded with a 22-point first quarter to cruise Friday night.
Will Longthorne carried 19 times for 62 yards, scoring twice in the first quarter for the Green Bears, and caught four passes for 77 yards. Longthrone tallied on one-yard run and a 28-yard pass from J.J. Buckey.
Ottawa Hills (3-6, 1-4 TAAC) jumped ahead with a safety when Michael Hartman made a tackle in the end zone. Hartman also scored on a four-yard run. Jake Swafford had a 12-yard TD run.
Matt Spetka caught a 15-yard scoring pass from Buckey.
Mike Ward had five carries for 72 yards and a TD for Danbury (1-7, 0-5).
Hilltop 34, Cardinal Stritch 14
Quinton Nofziger ran for three touchdowns and gained 101 yards in 17 carries for Hilltop (5-4, 3-2 TAAC) in a game at Clay.
Nofziger scored on a runs of 1, 4 and 2 yards. Gabe Schaffner and Brandon Semer also scored TDs.
Mike Blazevich scored the first touchdown of the game on a 14-yard run for Cardinal Stritch (4-5. 2-3). Nick Fuller went six yards for the other score.
Hilltop had 345 total yards (241 rushing, 104 passing), while Cardinal Stritch had 246 yards on 154 rushing and 92 passing. Fuller had 68 yards in 14 carries to lead the Cardinals.
