Crystal Bowersox's debut album, “Farmer's Daughter,” lands in stores Dec. 14, the American Idol runnner-up announced recently via her Twitter account.

“Sitting here at the studio [and] listening to three of my best friends working on my album. I said it years ago and I'll say it again, I always knew,” the 25-year-old Elliston, Ohio, native tweeted.

Bowersox's official Web site, crystal-bowersox.net, also announced the CD's arrival date, as well as other news about the project: “Farmer's Daughter” will be produced by David Bendeth (Breaking Benjamin, Paramore, Bruce Hornsby), and that most of the songs will be original material from the singer-songwriter.

“Holy Toledo” and “Farmer's Daughter” are two of her pre-Idol songs to be featured on the album. Her Web site also mentions Bowersox might include a cover of a Sista Otis song, “Love is Spiritual,” on the album.

Bowersox and friend Melissa Etheridge also recently released a live performance of Etheridge's “I Run for Life” to raise money to fight breast cancer.

The single is available for $1.29 on iTunes.

Bowersox recently wed musician and friend Brian Walker in a private ceremony for family and friends in Chicago.
