Attendees to a Toledo City Council meeting were evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a bomb threat was received prior to the start of the meeting.
The threat was made through a third party caller to the communication's system for One Government Center, said Toledo police Chief Derrick Diggs. He said his department is investigating the threat but believes it is unsubstantiated.
The 4 p.m. meeting is now under way but guards have been placed at the building's entrances. City Spokesman Jen Sorgenfrei said such threats are unusual.
