Walleye sign defensemen

The Toledo Walleye announced Wednesday that the team has agreed to terms with defensemen Bryan Main and Steve Miller.

Main just completed his college career with St. Thomas University in New Brunswick, Canada. The native of Greenfield Park, Quebec appeared in a total of 68 games with the Tommies, scoring one goal with 14 assists and 165 penalty minutes. Prior to his time at St. Thomas, Main played three seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Appearing in 195 games between Gatineau and Prince Edward Island, the 24-year-old collected 401 penalty minutes and 35 points (7g, 28a).

Miller joins Toledo from Brock University, Ontario where he was teammates with current Walleye forward Derek Brochu. The Thunder Bay, Ontario native appeared in 103 games with the Badgers, collecting 18 points (4g, 14a) and 78 penalty minutes over four seasons. Miller also spent parts of four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League between Kingston, Sudbury and Guelph. The 24-year-old played in 120 OHL games with a goal, 15 assists and 77 penalty minutes.
