Sheriff's chase ends in crash

One woman has been transported to an area hospital after she crashed into a tree this evening at Garden Road and Carmela Drive in Springfield Township, during a high-speed chase, said the Ohio Highway Patrol.

It’s unclear why the woman fled from her Hill Street apartment about 5:30 p.m., leading authorities on a chase down Garden.

The patrol reported that Toledo Police had been trying to get in touch with the woman after there was a call to her apartment on a suicide attempt.
