Free job fair scheduled at SeaGate Centre

A private survey relased Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, shows that U.S. businesses hired fewer workers in September than August, a sign that slow growth may be holding back hiring. Payroll processor ADP said Wednesday that companies added 162,000 jobs last month. That’s below August’s total of 189,000, which was revised lower. (AP Photo/Tina Fineberg)

A free job fair is to be Oct. 17 at SeaGate Convention Centre in downtown Toledo.

More than 30 businesses and other organizations have registered, with more expected. Among the potential employers are the Toledo Police Department, which is recruiting a new class of officers, Manpower, which is helping companies hire seasonal workers, and the Zepf Center, which is seeking qualified social workers.

A complete list of organizations attending can be found at on the link for Job & Career Fair 2012. Businesses may also use that link to register.
