Adjustments help Bedford knock off St. Ursula

Brown's double-double boosts BGHS

In their basketball season opener, the Bowling Green Bobcats started well before experiencing a rather frosty second quarter Tuesday night against Findlay.

But they were able to regroup at halftime and, led by 6-foot-8 senior forward Vitto Brown, came away with a 43-32 victory over the undermanned Trojans.

The Wisconsin-bound Brown paced the Bobcats with 20 points and 15 rebounds, senior guard Andrew Herringshaw pitched in with 11 points, and sophomore point guard LaMonta’ Stone added seven points for BG. READ MORE 


Big 4th quarter lifts Bedford over St. Ursula

Nicole Rightnowar felt the pressure of playing in a tight contest. So did the rest of the Bedford girls basketball team.

With her team held to a 3-pointer in the first five minutes of the second quarter, some frustration appeared to set in for the Kicking Mules.

“Their defense put on a lot of pressure, and we didn’t know what to do,” Rightnowar said. “We just kept turning the ball over and once we knew what to do, we were good.” READ MORE
