    Strong pitching helping Southview make tournament run

    Good pitching can cover up some deficiencies on the baseball diamond.Sixth-year Southview coach Ed Mouch can attest to that with his light-hitting Cougars this season. Southview (17-9) will face Anthony Wayne (21-8) in today’s 5 p.m. Division I regional semifinal at Bowling Green State University’s Stellar Field, and this opportunity can be attributed to the Cougars’ pitching in tournament play.     League co-champ Anthony Wayne on hot streak at right time

    A rough week served as a catalyst for one of the best seasons in Anthony Wayne baseball history. The Generals suffered four consecutive losses from April 20-26 and the team's record plummeted to 8-8. AW coach Mark Nell called it the most difficult week in his 14 years. But now, Anthony Wayne (21-8) has advanced to the Division I regional semifinals and will play Southview at 5 p.m. today at Bowling Green State University’s Stellar Field. READ MORE
