    Jackets keep on buzzing with 48-34 win

    It was a signature game, and the name signed all over it was that of Gus Dimmerling. The Perrysburg senior quarterback, coming off a superb season, picked up where he left off by torching the host Whitmer Panthers 48-34 nonleague victory Friday night in the season opener.  READ MORE

    Late TD drive helps Stritch edge Woodward

    Cardinal Stritch, longing as much for a victory since it had not won since its 2012 opener against Woodward, rallied for a 12-8 triumph to end a 19-game losing streak as Cardinals quarterback Joe Sinay scored with 57 seconds left in the game.  READ MORE

    Maumee holds off late Bowsher push in 37-28 win

    Placed in nearly the exact same spot Maumee was last season, it had a two-touchdown lead against Bowsher at halftime. The Panthers made it stick this time. Quarterback Brian Utter racked up more than 400 yards of total offense and three touchdowns as Maumee held off a late Bowsher charge for a 37-28 road victory to open the season Friday night.  READ MORE
