7-13: Sand-Tastic Summer Festival

The 2nd annual Sand-Tastic Festival was held at Levis Commons in Perrysburg from June 13-15, 2012. Sculptor's spent hours creating sand castles and other landscapes. CLICK ANY IMAGE TO VIEW FULL PHOTO, START SLIDE SHOW.

The two men said they had spent four hours Thursday working to create the initial block of sand from which the castle would later be sculpted. Smith said it would most likely take a team of two to three people two days to finish the castle. WEBP sandtastic13p A finished sculpture awaits judging Friday afternoon during the Sand-Tastic Summer Festival at the Levis Commons in Perrysburg. Once all the competitors in the amateur sand castle contest had finished, pictures were posted online for public judging at the Levis Commons' web site.
