Built it in Perrysburg

Using 200,000 Legos as building blocks of a new business, Bill and Kelisa Boden have opened Build It in Perrysburg’s Levis Commons. It is a hands-on educational center that uses Legos, K’Nex, and Duplo to motivate children to learn basic scientific principles.

Fort Meigs fifth grade teacher Kelisa Boden gets set to race Lego cars with Grayson Scheub, 6, Thursday afternoon during class at Build It in Perrysburg. Opened on December 26 by Boden and her husband Bill, Built It teaches science using Legos and K'Nex.

Classes run for one hour, twice a day Monday through Thursday. Each class costs $8. Build It also runs preschool sessions Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until noon as well as open play for $5 an hour Thursday and Friday at that same time.

Classes run for one hour, twice a day Monday through Thursday. Each class costs $8. On February 14 the class built cars and measured their speed, accuracy and durability.
