Dr. Lloyd Jacobs, UT's president; Kirsten A. Skeens, mace bearer, and William McMillen, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, walk in the processional. Ms. Skeens is the oldest grandchild of the late Alice Skeens, dean of the College of Languages, Literature and Social Sciences, who died this November. Professor Skeens had been the mace bearer for many years.
