Cedar Fair says quarter's results slipped

11/7/2000

SANDUSKY - Cedar Fair, L.P., which owns Cedar Point and four other amusement parks and four water parks, reported yesterday that its third-quarter revenues were up 11 per cent but its profits were down, in part because of a one-time charge related to its recent partnership and executive compensation changes.

The company said its profit for the quarter was $94.5 million, or $1.83 a unit, down from $96.2 million, or $1.83 a unit, for the same period a year ago. Revenues for the quarter rose to $267 million from $241 million a year ago.
