A Toledo police detective shot and killed a large dog in North Toledo yesterday when it attacked him as he was about to participate in serving a search warrant at a house, police said.

Detective Harold Mosley was not injured, police said.

Detective Mosley fired one shot and killed the dog at 3119 Doyle St., where he was part of a police crew that arrived to serve the search warrant.
