Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about a robbery Wednesday at the Fifth Third Bank branch, 317 South Detroit Ave.

A man approached a teller about 2:30 p.m. and gave her a note that read: “We have guns. Give me the money.” The teller gave the man money that contained a dye pack, authorities said.

The man ran from the bank toward Highland Park. The dye pack was found at Woodsdale and South avenues, police said.

The man was described as white, 40 to 45 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and about 140 pounds. He had brown hair. He was described as “grubby-looking” and was wearing a baseball cap and a dark jacket with light lapels.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward.
