Toledoan gets prison term for Fostoria drug offenses

7/26/2001

TIFFIN - A Toledo man has been sentenced in Seneca County Common Pleas Court to nearly five years in prison for two separate drug cases in Fostoria.

Lamont Allen, 32, of 4557 Bluff St., was sentenced to 16 months in prison on two counts of trafficking in crack cocaine and one count of possession of crack cocaine. The sentences will be served consecutively to a three-year, six-month sentence he was ordered to serve in June for two other local drug arrests.

Authorities said Allen sold crack cocaine to an undercover informant on May 16 near St. Wendelin Elementary School. On Sept. 19, he sold more than a half ounce of crack for $450 to another informant in Jackson Park.

Allen was arrested as a result of Operation Clean-up, a local undercover drug group affiliated with the area's drug task force.
