Father of murder victim restrained after outburst

LIMA, Ohio - The father of a murdered Lima man had to be restrained by police yesterday after he lunged at the man charged in the murder.

Stephen Glover, Sr., struggled with officers as he was escorted out of the courtroom. When they released him, he kicked the courtroom door and left.

Tierre Manley, 25, of Lima is charged with aggravated murder and murder, both with firearms specifications, stemming from the June 2 shooting of Stephen Glover, Jr., 24, in a Nye Street house.

Judge Richard Warren of Allen County Common Pleas Court continued bond at $500,000 and scheduled an Aug. 9 pre-trial hearing.
