A young man accused of causing a traffic accident that killed a West Toledo couple while he was fleeing from the police was indicted yesterday by a Lucas County grand jury.
Jacob Sisson, 20, of 1262 Vance St., was indicted on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, failure to comply with a signal of a police officer, and receiving stolen property. He is being held in the Lucas County jail on a $120,000 bond.
Mr. Sisson was driving a stolen car that collided with a car carrying Ricardo and Darlene Barney at Floyd Street and Collingwood Boulevard after a 35-second police chase, police said.
Mr. Barney, 48, of 1500 Brooke Park Dr., died at the scene. Mrs. Barney, 44, died a short time later in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.
