Toledo's Owens-Illinois, Inc., announced yesterday that it had completed its acquisition of the six Canadian glass plants and other assets of Consumers Packaging, Inc., of Toronto, for about $150 million.

The deal, approved by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in August as part of a Consumers Packaging restructuring, has received necessary regulatory approvals, the Toledo glass and plastic container giant said yesterday.

It was unclear last week whether the deal would go through because Anchor Glass Container Corp., of Tampa, Fla., filed suit against O-I seeking to block what it said was an effort by the Toledo firm to obtain a majority of stock of Consumers Packaging. O-I said yesterday the newly acquired business would operate as O-I Canada Corp.
