Promotion slated today for 2 Toledo firefighters

Two Toledo firefighters will be promoted at 9 a.m. today during a ceremony in Government Center.

Lt. Ronald Ellis will be promoted to captain, and Firefighter James Kaptur will become a lieutenant.

Lieutenant Ellis was appointed Sept. 22, 1989. He will continue as a relief captain. Firefighter Kaptur was appointed Dec. 15, 1995, and will continue to work in the alarm office.
