A Toledo man was indicted yesterday by a Lucas County grand jury for allegedly raping three women and a teenage girl.

Mark Lee Hooker, also known as Mark Lee Johnson, 27, of 2245 Putnam St. was indicted on four counts of rape, two counts of kidnapping, three counts of aggravated burglary, and one count of receiving stolen property. The indictment carries specifications that Hooker is a repeat violent offender on the rape, kidnapping, and aggravated burglary charges.

Police said Hooker burglarized the homes of three women and raped them July 28, Oct. 16, and Oct. 21. He also is accused of kidnapping and raping a 16-year-old Scott High School student Oct. 6 as she walked to school.

Hooker was paroled from prison in March, 2000, after serving seven years for felonious assault. He is being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $555,000 bond.
