Education group to honor Dana, ProMedica for work

For their work with high school students building robots and with fourth graders learning to read, Dana Corp. and ProMedica Health System were to receive awards today from Partners in Education.

The companies were chosen from 143 community-school partnerships in Toledo Public Schools.

Dana professionals helped students at Rogers High School design, construct, and prepare a robot for the First Robotics Competition, which earned them the best project award from Partners in Education.

ProMedica partnered with McKinley Elementary School to provide reading tutors. ProMedica was chosen for the best partner award.

Partners in Education is a nonprofit organization that coordinates school-community partnerships.
