Fostoria man indicted in rooming-house blaze

FOSTORIA — The Fostoria man who is charged in the July 4 fatal fire that destroyed the Doeshire rooming house in downtown Fostoria was indicted on five charges Thursday by a Seneca County grand jury.

Benjamin Greeno, 25, was indicted on two counts of involuntary manslaughter, one count of inducing panic, one count of possessing crack cocaine, and one count of criminal damaging or endangering.

The indictment states that he recklessly caused the deaths of Richard Rayle, 83, a Doeshire resident, and Jamese Williamson, 4, who was staying at the Doeshire with her grandfather. Mr. Greeno remains in the Seneca County Jail.
